2018 Toy Gift Guide for Preteen Girls

Christmas is right around the corner leaving parents everywhere struggling with gifting decisions. Our little girls are growing up, now what the heck do we buy them?

Never fear! I have scoured the internet, watched countless YouTube toy rundowns, and listened to more preteen opinion than I could handle on one bottle of wine to bring you my 2018 gift guide for preteen girls!

Should you be excited? Probably not. Many of these toys are going to make them happy for about 5 minutes before they roll their eyes and tell us they are not cool anymore. Alas, this list will at least give you a great starting point for your Christmas shopping!

Pomsies

These cute little poof balls are one of the season’s top toys, thus landing them number one on my gift guide for preteen girls. Pomsies come in a variety of colors and there are a couple different pets to choose from. These little poms are interactive, making over 50 different sounds, and secure to your wrist, hair, or backpack. Certainly not my cup of tea (I find these Little Live Wrapples to be WAY cuter) but still a must have for the preteen in your life. You can check out Pomsies on Amazon here.

Poopsie Slime Surprise

Are you ready to hate me? (You probably should be.)

One of the top toys for this season are the Poopsie Slime Surprise canisters, which join together two of mom’s most hates things. Toilet toys and slime!

These collect them all canisters feature a roll out surprise of all the supplies need to make your own unique slime poop. Oh the great fun! You can start your collection here, and grab some of these wonderful toys for stocking stuffers for all of your nieces!

Twisty Petz

Looking for jewelry pieces for your daughter that she is sure to have taken away in class? Introducing this seasons hot toy, Twisty Petz!

These blingy little pets come in packs of three with one surprise pet in each pack! They are glitzy, and can be worn as bracelets, necklaces, or backpack accessories, then twisted back into a cute little pal. Scruff-a-Luvs

Scruff-a-Luvs are making the gift guide for preteen girls, not because my ten year old is going to tell any of her friends she wants one of these, but because I am bound to see this little rescue pet at the top of her Christmas list.

These adorable little pets come a matted mess, ready for you to rescue. First you wash them, then you groom them, then you get to love this ball of poof! Check them out here and see which option is going to amuse your little miss the most!

Hairdoables

These little cuties were just released in August of this year, and the Hairdoables have become a hit!

Each toy is a surprise as to which doll your going to get, and there are 36 to collect in all. You collect them, style them, and get surprises with them making hairdoables a must have on my gift guide for preteen girls. Check them out here.

Polly Pocket

Ok mama’s, Polly Pocket is probably my favorite item to make my gift guide for preteen girls!

When I heard they were bringing Polly back, it was like a blast from my own childhood. Now your daughter will be collecting these compact play sets, and hopefully keeping track of the little pieces better then we did.

LOL! Surprise

Yep, you read that right!

The LOL! Suprise dolls are back this year, and now they are being released with hidden messages. Be sure to be diligent in your purchase of these little cuties if they are on your preteens list. They were a sell out item last year and caused some major headache for parents and grandparents alike.

Lego Harry Potter Great Hall

Ok, so this one may not be a must have for all preteen girls, but for mine who has a total nerdy side (she got it from her mama), this is on the list.

Lego recently released the Great Hall building set, which is just the latest piece in the Harry Potter Lego series. This play set contains over 800 bricks to use to recreate the Great Hall in all of its splendor. Plus, with that many pieces, your preteen will be busy for hours. Bloody brilliant, eh?

Hatchimals

So, I almost hate myself a little bit for putting this on the gift guide for preteen girls, but I know the reality of the situation, so here it is.

One, the new Cloud Cove Hatchimals recently released are going to be a hot item for this year. Two, your kid is going to watch it hatch, gush over how cute it is for 20 minute, then cast it aside and only care about it when a younger sibling attempts to play with it.

In all honesty, Hatchimals are cute to watch them hatch, but after those suckers come out of the egg, the fun is over. (They go to die in the same sock drawer where you hid your Furby so it didn’t spy on you.) None the less,  you can check them out here.

Monster High Deluxe Bus and Mobile Salon

After purchasing the Monster High Deadluxe High School play-set, we thought we were done with Monster High Play-sets.

We thought wrong.

This year’s hot Monster High must have is the Monster High Deluxe Bus and Mobile Salon! It is going to be the perfect accessory play-set to the school though, so I guess that is a win win. You can check it out here and add it to your cart before your preteen has it on her wish list!

Lil’ Gleemerz

Because all of our daughters need more interactive pets, Lil’ Gleemerz is making it onto the gift guide for preteen girls.

These little cuties light up and respond to your child’s touch and voice with a variety of noises, and can even play games with your kid. Plus, they come in different colors and designs, so there is one for every preteen on your list!

Barbie Care Clinic

Funny little pointless toys may come and go, but Barbie never disappoints.

This years big barbie hit? The Barbie Care Clinic!

This cute little traveling clinic will take your preteen’s imaginative play to the next level, before she outgrows barbie. (Yes, I am crying inside too that these days are coming to an end.) You can get the clinic here for the preteen on your list.

Pikmi Pops

Remember these guys from last year? Pikmi Pops are the scented, fuzzy little surprise toy that stores couldn’t keep in stock last Christmas.

For some reason, our daughters are still collecting them like crazy which lands them on this years gift guide. These little guys come in a variety of seasons and designs, so be mindful you are not purchasing repeats when you are adding them to your cart! Razor Jetts Heel Wheels

Ok, so these may not have been requested in any way shape or form by my preteen daughter, but they are pretty sweet so we are adding them in.

Having a preteen daughter who loves to skateboard, these are sure to make her list. These heel wheels are like the skate shoes of our childhood had a love child with the roller skates of yesteryear. Plus, they added a spark pad.
