Potted Plant

While I will be the first to admit that I usually do not buy potted plants for myself due to my lack of green thumb, I love receiving them as a gift! I have also found, that people close to me like receiving potted plants just as well as I do.

Not only can you find a lot of cool plants that can be found at your local greenhouse, but the pots themselves can be just as cool. Plus, buying your teacher a potted plant ensures that your gift will not be just thrown away in a week. Let your kiddo get in on the action by letting them help you pick the perfect plant for their teacher! Plus, you can turn your trip to the greenhouse into a learning experience in itself if your child has never been. Win, win!

If you want to get really crafty, you can check out some of the do-it-yourself chalkboard paint pots that you can make. This would add a super cute touch to your teacher’s gift if you have the extra time! Amy over at The Idea Room has a really great tutorial you can find here!

Gift Card

Everyone loves receiving gift cards, teachers included! Not only this, but gift cards can be easily personalized to things your child’s teacher likes. You can see how much your child has paid attention this year by asking them where their teacher’s favorite restaurant is, and seeing what they say. If your child’s teacher is lucky, your kid paid attention during one of the “Guess what I did over the weekend” conversations, and they will not be getting happy meals for dinner.

For real though, tell me what teacher is not going to enjoy a gift card to Starbucks? After handling 20 some odd children every for a year, I am sure they could use a Starbucks break. I know I can’t make it through one day without at least 3 cups of coffee, and I am just handling my three kids. Kudos to those teachers who make it through an entire school year with all the shenanigans they put up with!

Other fun gift card ideas could be a gift card to the movies, a local salon, a nice restaurant, or a Hobby Lobby. (Because honestly, who couldn’t spend an entire paycheck in Hobby Lobby if given the option. Am I right?)

Bottle of Wine

Remember how I just said that I couldn’t make it through the day with my three kids without 3 cups of coffee? The other thing I need is wine. Sweet, sweet wine.

This is why I could totally see my child’s teacher celebrating over a bottle of their own! I know all my crazy days a bottle of wine is more than helpful. With new wineries popping up every day comma finding a unique bottle at a decent price is very simple. My personal favorites are from the Apple Barn in Tennessee, and the Brown County Winery in Indiana.

Sounds a little odd that this is becoming a thing now a days, but I have even found that people are adding a personal touch to their wine gifts by customizing their wine labels. Cute right?

Adult De-Stress Kit

Now this one might take a bit of additional thought for you, but an Adult De-stress kit for your child’s teacher would be really adorable. You could include things like a nail file, and fingernail polish for DIY pedicures. Or, for early morning coloring sessions, try a unique coffee blend, an adult coloring book, and colored pencils. Honestly, there could be tons of awesome ideas that could be put into one of these kits to make it your very own!

I know speaking from experience, gifts like this tend to be some of my favorites. I often times skip purchasing things for myself that could help me to relax, and instead spend it on something more relevant at the time. If your teacher has this same issue, perhaps they could use this gift for some much-needed self-care.
